Perfect Dating Places in Negros

Negros Occidental is not only a province filled with smiling people. It's also an island with lots of popular tourists spots. Some of these most-flocked places are also perfect venues for special and romantic dates. So, if you're looking for places where you can spend some time with your loved one or you just want to be free from the hustle and bustle of the city, these places are the ones you should go to.

NATURE'S VILLAGE in Talisay City

I have to be honest! This place really proved that "first impressions are sometimes wrong". At first, I thought the place was "so-so". Nothing special. I did not know there were so many things I haven't seen yet. What really won my heart in this resort is it's peacefulness, cleanliness and it's really "a breath of fresh air". Their lawns are so wide and so green. Really refreshing to look at. If you and your date are more of the "peace-and-quiet" side, Nature's Village is the place for you.

My best friend and I at the entrance of the resort.

The lobby of the resort's hotel. The lobby itself IS an attraction because of its beautiful decorations that are (brace yourself) all recycled materials. Yep. I did not believe that at first but it's true.

The resort's unique restaurant. What's nice about this place? It's just so relaxing here. There's just something in its ambiance that's just so calming. The place's not as noisy as other restaurants. This is perfect for a night of fancy dinner. :)

The chapel.

The mud house. Warning: Don't be fooled by the exterior!!! Okay, so this little cutie patootie hut made me believe in love at first sight. It was different from other rooms you'll find. It's warm, cozy, and just beautiful. I decided not to put pictures of the inside so you'll be curious and see for yourselves. :P. This mud house in Nature's is the first ever in the Philippines. The makers of this are definitely creative and innovative. I can ramble about everything nice about this mud house but I shall stop now. :)

Entrance to the mud house. Yes, people, it is really made of mud. As in M-U-D. Lutak, putik. :)).

There is beauty all around when there's green. :). This place is A+ if you and your date enjoy strolling, enjoying the fresh air or just sitting on the grass talking about the future. :)

THE RUINS in (again) Talisay City

Seems like every great place is in Talisay, huh? :). Well, I guess the place is just so blessed. If you and your date like to enjoy a little history after a stroll in a nature resort, I have good news. They're just, like, 7 kilometers away from each other. :)

"The Ruins" is considered as the "Taj Mahal" of Negros Occidental. This magnificent house was built by the owner for his first wife. The house is made of hard wood and its walls are strengthened by egg whites. The house was set to fire on purpose because the USAFFE did not want it to become a hide-out of the Japanese during World War 2. It took 3 days to burn because of the hard wood materials used. Burnt and all, The Ruins is still lovely and breathtaking not only because of its design but also because of the history that embraces it.

The place is extra beautiful because of the green green grass. :)

Are you in for some pseudo-pool experience? :)

The fountain.

Our Kalesa ride. :).

Simply heart-stopping, isn't it? Hint hint: The tour guide told us the best time to visit The Ruins is around 4:30-5:30 P.M. He said The Ruins has a magic of its own. When the sunset's rays hit the walls, the house turns gold. :) My best friend and I decided that The Ruins is one of the perfect places to pop "the question". :) Yes, we're hopeless romantics. :)

So, what are you waiting for? Explore Negros' romantic spots and fall in love. :D
